Toni Sprenkle, EDFP.

Executive Director

 

 

Ms. Sprenkle has been with the BDC since 2014, first as a Project Assitant, evovling into Project Coordinator and has now served as the BDC Executive Director since 2021. 

​

Notable accomplishments during her time at the BDC include negotiating a federal contract with the U.S Navy and securing funding for remedial activities; receiving regulatory approvals from the Maryland Department of Environment opening the site to development after a decade of inactivity; assisting in the acquisition and transfer of the 444 Phase 1 development, placing the property under private ownership and back on the tax rolls; successfully managing over $10 million in publicly funded projects; strengthening relationships with local, state and federal partners, and reimersed the BDC into the community.

"Although I may not be a Cecil County resident, after spending nearly a decade in the community, the success of the project and the benefits to the residents is something that I am very passionate about. It has been a challenging project, but extremely rewarding to see years of hard work and dedication by all stakeholders pay off. I believe that Bainbridge will be something very special and I am committed to seeing every phase through to the finish line!"

Sprenkle was recently chosen as a recipient of the 2023 Economic Development 40 Under 40 Award, which is a national award that recognizes rising stars under 40 years old in the economic development industry.

Outside of her work at the BDC, Sprenkle coaches high school cheerleading in her hometown of York, PA, and serves the community through volunteer work with special olympics, Mini-Thon and youth mentorship.
